Our aim is to raise awareness, shift public perceptions, and foster a deeper appreciation of Gosport and its distinctive alleyways through high-quality creative interventions.

Our broader objective is to engage local residents, students, and audiences, building momentum for regular creative events that spotlight different alleyways in the coming years.

The workshops are designed to be family-friendly brainstorming sessions, where participants can explore and celebrate the unique history of Gosport and its alleyways.

We hold a strong commitment to sustainability, advocating for the reuse of surplus materials to create place-based products. If you have any materials that could be reinvented or reused, we encourage you to bring them along. However, rest assured, all necessary materials will be provided at the workshop.

Gavin Hodson

Director of City Arts Portsmouth, artist and teacher, enjoys making and sharing permanent and temporary art experiences for all ages and abilities to investigate the world around us through collaboration.

He will lead participants to build, draw, chat and stick their way through the session to assemble a high street where people would love to spend their time together. They can then add that special sense of place.

Thomas Buckley

A creative technologist will share their approach to technology and how to hack and combine different accessible technologies to develop ideas for new artworks.

The participants can expect to explore light projection and scale and have the opportunity to find out how large public art commissions are designed and realised. This is a must-attend for budding creatives.
