Dear Friends of the SCT, we hope that you are safe and well.
Although it’s been quite a while since we last updated you on the SCT there has been a lot of activity behind the scenes and we are now excited to be able to share with you the latest news.

The SCT is now incorporated as a not for profit company. Our application to register as a charity was declined due to the public benefit not being immediately demonstrable so, after long meetings with our accountant, it was suggested that we should register as not-for-profit which has a same structure as a charity (by having multiple directors we are effectively running in the same manner as a charity). It is our intention that, after operating for a couple of years, we will be able to amply demonstrate the public benefit and then we can easily convert into a charity.
We are also pleased to announce that we have launched our new website. It describes the vision and mission of the SCT and includes a wonderful short film which vividly brings to life the reason for, and benefits of, our work.
The video was produced by our friends at Strong Island Media and we are delighted that they have done such an excellent job for us. You can find the website at
www.sustainableconservationtrust.com Please do take a look and share it with anyone who might be interested in our work.
And finally, we’d like to give you advance notification that we hope to be publicly announcing our first project in the spring. This will be a large and exciting project so watch this space for more news to come!
Thank you again for your support,
