Alleyways of Gosport exhibition

A transformative art initiative funded by the Arts Council, Gosport  Borough Council via Historic England Heritage Action Zone - High Street  funding is nearing its climax as the historic alleyways of Gosport are  set to unveil a series of captivating art installations. The project,  which officially concludes with an exhibition opening for a private view  on November 24th at the Discovery Centre, has reimagined these urban  corridors that encapsulate the tales of historic figures, local  tradesmen, sailors, shopkeepers, strong-willed women, inventors, and  unsung heroes.  Purpose and Vision:  The project's mission is to foster a deeper appreciation for the town’s  heritage, transforming overlooked spaces with art that not only  beautifies but educates and engages with wider community. It aims to  bridge the gap between past and present, shedding light on the diverse  and inclusive fabric of our local history. This initiative has seen the  collaboration of local artists, residents, and students, creating a  thriving momentum for Gosport's creative future.
